Felony arrests

Mail Theft — Brandon Charles Ceremony, 19, of South Jordan, Utah. Ashland police arrested Ceremony Thursday on additional felony charges of mail theft and first-degree burglary. Medford police originally arrested Ceremony on first-degree burglary, first-degree theft and vehicle theft charges, and on a Utah warrant. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Thursday on $370,000 bail.

Drugs — Joshua Joshiea Beachler, 37, of the 2500 block of Sykes Creek Road, Rogue River. Medford police arrested Beachler Wednesday on felony charges of possessing methamphetamine, possessing heroin and first-degree possessing a forged instrument, and on misdemeanor counts of reckless driving, felon in possession of a restricted weapon and reckless endangering. He remained lodged in jail Thursday on $25,000 bail.

Drugs — Nicole Marie Dominguez, 34, of the 4300 block of South Pacific Highway, Phoenix. Medford police arrested Dominguez Wednesday on felony charges of possessing heroin and methamphetamine, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing heroin, possessing meth, identity theft, first- and second-degree theft, attempted first-degree theft and attempting to supply contraband. She was booked in the jail Wednesday and released Thursday because of overcrowding.

Forgery — Ramiro Demetrio Riley, 32, of the 4300 block of South Pacific Highway, Phoenix. Medford police arrested Riley Thursday on felony charges of first-degree possession of a forged instrument, possessing heroin and possessing methamphetamine, a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended and on a sanction for violating his probation on a previous identity theft charge. He was lodged in jail Thursday without bail.

Vehicle Theft — Gregory Allen Brown, 33, of the 200 block of Pleasant View Road, Talent. Medford police arrested Brown Thursday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was booked in the jail and released Thursday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Christopher Pernell Alexander, 26, of the first block of North Orange Street, Medford. Oregon State Police troopers arrested Alexander Thursday on felony charges of distributing and possessing methamphetamine and possessing heroin. He was lodged in jail Thursday on $500,000 bail.

Drugs — Ricardo Daniel Batres-Escobar, 24, of the 2700 block of Falcon Street, White City. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Batres-Escobar Thursday on a felony charge of possessing heroin, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, identity theft, supplying contraband, possessing methamphetamine, second- and third-degree theft, menacing and fraudulent use of a credit card. He was lodged in jail Thursday on $36,500 bail.

Drugs — Jason John Bigelow Jr., 32, of the first block of South Stage Road, Medford. On Thursday, Bigelow made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on felony charges of distributing, manufacturing and possessing methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail and released Thursday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Justin Glenn Nelms, 39, of the 6300 block of Highway 238, Jacksonville. On Thursday, Nelms made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail and released Thursday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Misty Dawn Horton, 28, of the 200 block of South Pacific Highway, Talent. On Thursday, Horton made her initial court appearance on a felony count of possessing cocaine and a misdemeanor charge of tampering with evidence. She was booked in the jail and released Thursday on her own recognizance.

Manslaughter — John Thomas Shone, 48, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Shone Thursday on felony warrants charging him with first- and second-degree manslaughter, hit-and-run to an injured person, and on a misdemeanor warrant for driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was lodged in jail Thursday on $100,000 bail.

Drugs — Brandon Allen Crum, 24, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Crum Thursday on felony warrants charging him with delivering and possessing heroin. He was lodged in jail Thursday on $100,000 bail.

Crime reports

Burglary —3600 block of Harbrooke Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a residence at 6:44 a.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included a gas-powered leaf blower, a gas-powered weed trimmer, wine glasses, paper towels, toilet paper and miscellaneous candles. The loss was valued at $1,210.

Theft — 500 block of Business Park Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of a theft and vandalism at 11:33 a.m. Thursday. Fuel was reportedly stolen from three Budget rental trucks, and their fuel lines were reportedly cut. The loss and damage to the vehicles and a padlock was valued at $1,320.

Theft — 500 block of East Main Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 2:10 p.m. Thursday. Items reported stolen included a new iPhone 7, prescription reading glasses, the victim's car keys, personal documents, a tan cloth and vinyl purse and green wallet. The loss was valued at $1,645.
