Felony arrests

Burglary — Shilo Hill Hutson, 26, of the 2000 block of Siskiyou Boulevard, Ashland. Medford and Ashland police arrested Hutson Thursday on felony charges of first-degree burglary and failing to register as a sex offender on his birthday, misdemeanor charges of harassment, third-degree theft, providing false information to police and on a contempt charge, and for violating his parole on a previous third-degree rape conviction. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Friday without bail.

Criminal Mischief — Kayla Jean Yates-Burch, 24, of the 2100 block of Roberts Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Yates-Burch Thursday on a felony charge of first-degree criminal mischief, and on misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree assault, harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct. She was booked in the jail Thursday and released Friday.

Drugs — Edward James Thomas Torsney, 26, no known address. Medford police arrested Torsney Thursday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing meth. He remained lodged in jail Friday on $20,000 bail.

Theft — Nathan Judd, 40, no known address. Medford and Jacksonville police arrested Judd Thursday on felony charges of first-degree theft, first-degree criminal mischief, attempting to elude police in a vehicle and on a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest. He was booked in the jail Thursday and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Danee Patricia Donna Conken, 25, no known address. Medford police arrested Conken Thursday on a felony charge of possessing heroin, a misdemeanor charge of felon in possession of a restricted weapon, a warrant for failing to appear in court on a third-degree theft charge, an out-of-county warrant charging her with failing to appear in court on narcotics charge, and for violating her probation on previous charges of possessing a stolen vehicle, possessing a firearm silencer, possessing heroin and possessing meth. She remained lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Assault — James Douglas Riley, 37, no known address. Central Point police arrested Riley Thursday on felony charges of strangulation and fourth-degree assault, and on misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree assault, strangulation and harassment. He remained lodged in jail Friday on $40,000 bail.

Coercion — Brandon Michael Robinson, 35, of the 900 block of Beall Lane, Central Point. Medford police arrested Robinson Friday on felony charges of coercion and possessing methamphetamine, an out-of-county felony warrant charging him with possessing meth, misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree assault, harassment and strangulation, and for violating his parole on a previous second-degree robbery conviction. He was lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Drugs — Raven Justine Johnson, 25, of the 3800 block of Valley Meadows Drive, White City. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Johnson Friday on a felony warrant charging him with possessing heroin, a misdemeanor warrant for second-degree theft, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing heroin, first- and third-degree theft. She was lodged in jail Friday without bail.

Drugs — Katie Christine Barajas, 27, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Barajas Friday on felony charges of possessing heroin and methamphetamine, misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and third-degree escape, and on a warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous meth-possession charge. She was booked in the jail and released Friday because of overcrowding.

Criminal Mistreatment — Brenda Marie Peterson, 52, of the 22000 block of Highway 62, Shady Cove. On Friday, Peterson made her initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of first-degree criminal mistreatment and a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft. She was booked in the jail and released Friday on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Seth David Gunter, 39, of the 600 block of Siskiyou Boulevard, Ashland. On Friday, Gunter made her initial court appearance on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Kayla Breann Gilsdorf, 18, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Gilsdorf Friday on a felony charge of possessing a Schedule II controlled substance, and on misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree assault and harassment. She was lodged in jail Friday on $22,500 bail.

Identity Theft — Kayla Renee Sarmento, 29, no known address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Sarmento Friday on four felony counts of identity theft and four misdemeanor counts of fraudulent use of a credit card. She was lodged in jail Friday on $50,000 bail.

Drugs — Bailey Cheyenne Cornett, 20, no known address. Medford police arrested Cornett Friday on felony warrants charging her with possessing heroin and possessing methamphetamine, a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of distributing and possessing methamphetamine and possessing heroin. She was lodged in jail Friday on $38,500 bail.

Sodomy — Wesley Thomas Wilson, 24, no known address. Medford police arrested Wilson Friday on felony warrants charging him with first-degree sodomy and first-degree sexual abuse, a misdemeanor warrant for fourth-degree assault, and on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of disorderly conduct and a hit-and-run charge. He was lodged in jail Friday on more than $1 million bail.

Crime reports

Vandalism — 2200 block of Biddle Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a blue US Postal Service mailbox at 6:32 a.m. Thursday. The damage was valued at $1,200.

Theft — 2400 block of Crater Lake Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report of a stolen silver HP laptop with backlit keyboard at 12:17 p.m. Thursday. The loss was valued at $1,000.

Vandalism — 1800 block of Pinedale Street, Medford. Medford police took report of a vandalism at 4:46 p.m. Thursday. Lamps, a laptop computer, radio, decor, walls and pictures in frames were reported damaged. The damage was valued at $3,000.

Vandalism — First block of North Front Street, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to an Oregon Lottery machine at 9:17 p.m. Thursday. The damage was valued at $3,000.
