Felony arrests

Burglary — Stephen Michael Melton, 61, no known address. Medford police arrested Melton Tuesday on an additional felony count of second-degree burglary and misdemeanor counts of second-degree trespassing and second-degree theft. Medford police originally arrested Melton Sept. 14 on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants and for violating his probation on a prior meth-possession conviction. He remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Tuesday without bail.

Drugs — Vernon Earl Auten Jr., 58, of the 7200 block of Highway 238, Jacksonville. On Tuesday, Auten made his initial court appearance on felony charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing methamphetamine, possessing oxycodone, felon in possession of a firearm, possessing a firearm silencer and first-degree possession of a forged instrument. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Vehicle Theft — Justin William Davis, 27, of the 100 block of Fern Valley Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Davis Tuesday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a prior methamphetamine-possession charge, and for violating his probation on prior meth-possession and identity theft convictions. He was lodged in jail Tuesday on $40,000 bail.

Supplying Contraband — Jenna Jordyn Foote, 21, no known address. Medford police arrested Foote Tuesday on felony charges of supplying contraband and possessing heroin, and on a sanction for violating her probation on a previous heroin-possession convictions.
