Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Burns Friday on felony warrants charging her with first-degree assault and first-degree criminal mistreatment, and on misdemeanor warrants charging her with fourth-degree assault. She remained lodged in the Jackson County Jail Saturday on $250,000 bail.
Theft — Ian Henry Brooks, 35, of the 2500 block of Ashwood Court, Medford. Medford police arrested Brooks Friday on felony charges of first-degree theft, first-degree forgery, first-degree possession of a forged instrument and identity theft, and on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous charge of third-degree theft. He remained lodged in jail Saturday on $33,000 bail.
Drugs — Cassandra Ellen Simpson, 31, of the first block of Myers Court, Medford. Medford police arrested Simpson Saturday on felony charges of possessing heroin and possessing methamphetamine, a misdemeanor charge of third-degree theft and for violating her parole on a prior heroin-possession conviction. She remained lodged in jail Saturday without bail.
Theft — 200 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of vandalism to a fence at 9:56 a.m. Friday. The damage was valued at $300.
Theft — 1700 block of Thomas Road, Medford. Medford police took a report of a wheel and tire stolen off a vehicle at 10:03 a.m. Friday. The loss was valued at $600.
Theft — 500 block of South Central Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of stolen cash totaling $600 at 11:00 a.m. Friday.
Theft — 900 block of Alba Drive, Medford. Medford police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 1:51 a.m. Saturday. Items reported stolen included a white iPhone 6, a black Canon Vixa video camera and a Cricket cell phone. The loss was valued at $800.
