Felony arrests

Drugs — Britney Nicole Olson, 27, of the 1100 block of West 10th Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Olson Tuesday on a felony charge of possessing heroin, and on a warrant for violating her probation on a prior third-degree assault conviction. She was booked in the Jackson County Jail Tuesday and released Wednesday after posting bail.

Drugs — Christian Lee Nelson, 23, of the 3300 block of Highway 227, Trail. Medford police arrested Nelson Wednesday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and on a sanction for violating his probation on a prior meth-distribution conviction. He was lodged in jail Wednesday without bail.

Sex Offender — Billy Jay Cardwell, 84, of the 500 block of Freeman Road, Central Point. On Wednesday, Cardwell made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on a felony charge of failing to register his address as a sex offender, and on a misdemeanor charge of failing to register as a sex offender on his birthday. He was booked in the jail and released Wednesday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Douglas Michael Ricks, 39, of the 9300 block of Carolina Drive, Central Point. On Wednesday, Ricks made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and on a misdemeanor count of driving while suspended. He was booked in the jail and released Wednesday on his own recognizance.

Theft — Carlos Estuardo Solorio, 22, of the 300 block of Independence Circle, Phoenix. Medford police arrested Solorio Wednesday on a felony charge of first-degree theft. He was lodged in jail Wednesday on $7,500 bail.

Crime reports

Burglary — 800 block of Royal Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary at 1:29 p.m. Tuesday. Items reported stolen included a large 21-speed mountain bike with blue trim and miscellaneous tools. The loss was valued at $700.

Vandalism — 3300 block of North Pacific Highway, Medford. Medford police took a report of burglary to a business at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, in which a business door window pane was reported vandalized. The damage was valued at $570.
