Felony arrests

Unauthorized vehicle use — Glenn Douglas Abney, Jr., 23, of the 700 block of West Second St., Medford. Medford police arrested Abney Wednesday night on a felony count of vehicle theft and for failing to appear for a heroin possession charge. He was lodge in the Jackson County jail on $20,000 bail.

Assault — Patrick Raymond Fox, 48, of the 100 block of Laguna Way, Cascade, Idaho. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Fox on two counts of assault by means of a deadly weapon Thursday. He was lodged in the jail without bail.

Unauthorized vehicle use — Jami Diana Dahack, 35, no known address. Central Point police arrested Dahack Thursday on a felony count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, misdemeanor counts of reckless driving and drug violations. She was lodged in the jail on $27,500 bail, but her bail was lowered to $20,000 during her Friday arraignment.

Failure to register — Christopher Lee Grigsby, 33, of the 800 block of Krissy Dee, Medford. Medford police arrested Grigsby Thursday on a count of failing to register a new address as a felony sex offender. He was booked into the jail and released on his own recognizance.

Manslaughter — Raleigh Hugh Rodrigues, 65, of the 700 block of Hartley Rd, Phoenix. Medford police arrested Rodrigues on counts of manslaughter following a vehicle incident on Interstate 5. He was lodged in the jail on $200,000 bail.

Theft — Kathi Sorrine Coyle, 47, of the 3800 block of Antelope Rd, White City. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Coyle Thursday on a felony theft charge and for possession of meth. She was lodged in the jail on $5,000 bail.

Assault —  Abdul Hahson Blair, of the 700 block of Welch St., Medford. Medford police arrested Blair Friday morning on a count of violating parole for a burglary charge; he was charged with felony counts of unlawful use of a stun gun and assaulting an officer in the process.

Tampering with witness — Jody Smith, 46, of the 6900 block of Rogue River Highway, Grants Pass. Eagle Point Police arrested Smith on felony counts of tampering with and bribing a witness. She was booked in the jail and released on her own recognizance.

Criminal driving — Thomas Charles Ellis, 29, of the 1200 block of Cherry St, Central Point. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Ellis Friday on a felony count of driving while suspended. He was booked into the jail and released.

Unlawful weapon use — Gannon John Schroder, 25, of the 2300 block of Marina Drive, Klamath Falls. Ashland police arrested Schroder on a felony count of unlawful use of a weapon and a misdemeanor DUI count. He was booked into the jail and released on his own recognizance.

Rape — Jordan Randhir Smith, 26, no known address. Medford police arrested Smith Friday on felony counts of use of a minor in a controlled substance offense, rape in the third degree and sexual abuse. He was lodged in the jail on $35,000 bail.

Coercion — Hector Palacios Ornelas, 51, no known address. Medford police arrested Ornelas on a felony coercion count. he was lodged in the jail on $7,500 bail.

Crime reports

Vandalism — Medford police responded to a call about a vandalism in the 1200 block of Disk Drive. A gray community mail box was pried open with a crowbar and its contents possibly stolen. The damage to the mailbox totaled $1,100.

Miscellaneous

Assault — Hunter Talon Marlow, 21, of the 600 block of Berkeley Way, Medford. Marlow added additional assault charges, including two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, to the previous attempted assault charge for which he was lodged in the jail on Dec. 1. His bail for the new charges totaled $240,000, although he was denied bail for the attempted assault count for which he was originally arrested. During his Friday arraignment, his bail was raised to $1,000,000.
