Murphy man jailed in shooting

A Murphy man is in jail accused of shooting another man Thursday night in Josephine County.

Oregon State Police responded to a call at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday from a man who said he'd been shot. Troopers responded to the Circle K in Murphy, where they found the man with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to an OSP release.

The release did not identify the victim nor give any details about where or how he was shot.

He was transported to a hospital in Jackson County for treatment, the release said.

OSP's Criminal Investigation Division responded. Its investigation led them to 29-year-old Murphy resident Terence Daley, who was arrested Friday on charges of attempted murder, first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and felon in possession of a weapon. He was lodged in the Josephine County Jail. The release did not say what led investigators to Daley, or where he was arrested.
