Police find drugs, stolen property, unsafe living conditions at Talent auto shop
A Talent man was jailed Friday after Jackson County Sheriff's deputies served a search warrant at an auto repair business, and deputies found drugs, stolen property, and people living in unsafe conditions, according to a sheriff's office press release.
Following the search at Brad's Budget Automotive, in the 1300 block of South Pacific Highway, Bradley Wayne Keever, 46, was arrested on felony charges of possession of methamphetamine and first degree theft by receiving, according to the release. Keever was booked into the Jackson County Jail Friday, but has since been released.
Several people, including children, were found in subpar living conditions on the property, police said.
Deputies located evidence of drug use and sewage leaking from travel trailers used as dwellings. Caseworkers with the Department of Human Services - Child Welfare responded to assess the living conditions of the children. Jackson County Code Enforcement will investigate reported code violations, the release said.
Officers from the Phoenix and Talent police departments assisted with the search.
