I-5 semi crash partially blocked northbound lanes near Siskiyou Summit

A semi truck hauling dog and cat food crashed and came to rest on its side near milepost 6 in the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 Sunday afternoon, blocking a lane of travel, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.

The crash, about 8 miles south of Ashland, was reported at 2:36 p.m. The semi overturned while traveling down the Siskiyou Summit grade.

The driver's condition and cause of the crash were not immediately available. Oregon State Police were still investigating Sunday evening.
