Sex abuse — William Dohrmann Pischel, 27, of the 2900 block of Barbara Street, Ashland. Ashland police Monday arrested Pischel on charges of first-degree sex abuse, second-degree trespass, third-degree escape, attempted first-degree burglary, coercion and two counts of harassment. He was lodged Monday in the Jackson County Jail on $517,000 bail.
Drugs — Cary Rhyse Jordahl, 26, of the 500 block of North Keene Way Drive, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Jordahl on charges of possession of heroin, possession of contraband, being a felon in possession of a weapon and for violating the conditions of his parole on a previous identity-theft conviction. He was lodged Monday in jail without bail.
Assault — Jose Luis Contreras, 41, of the 600 block of North Columbus Avenue, Medford. Medford police Sunday arrested Contreras on charges of felony fourth-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, and two counts of harassment. He was lodged Sunday in jail and released Monday on his own recognizance.
Burglary — Javier Banuelos, 36, of the 2400 block of Lyman Avenue, Medford. Medford police Monday arrested Banuelos on charges of first-degree burglary, fourth-degree assault, harassment, criminal mischief and second-degree theft. He was lodged Monday in jail on $37,500 bail.
Vandalism — 500 block of Western Avenue, Medford. Medford police took a report at 12:12 p.m. Monday of vandalism to a vehicle from which a dashboard was destroyed. The loss was valued at $2,000.
Theft — 900 North Central Avenue, Medford. Medford police at 12:44 p.m. Monday took a report of the theft of a Weatherby 7mm magnum rifle and scope from a vehicle. The loss was valued at $2,000.
