Former ICE agent gets 25 years for sex abuse
An east Medford man who formerly worked as a deportation officer with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in Southern Oregon was sentenced to 25 years in prison Wednesday for sexually abusing a relative for more than nine years.
Blake V. Northway, 56, was sentenced in Jackson County Circuit Court after admitting to sexually abusing an underage female family member between March 2009 and September 2018, according to court documents and a news release issued Wednesday by the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office.
Northway, listed in court records as both “Blake Victor Northway” and “Blake Villagomez Northway,” was arrested last fall following a joint Medford police and Oregon State Police investigation, according to the release.
Northway had been assigned to ICE’s Medford office, according to earlier news reports, but was placed on leave after his arrest. None of the charges or convictions stemmed from Northway’s ICE duties.
Jackson County Jail records show that Northway has been in jail since Sept. 13 of last year.
