Update: Tips lead police to stolen Sea-Doos

Update: Medford police say they found the watercraft and have apprehended a suspect as of about 10 p.m.

Medford police are asking people to be on the lookout for an SUV that left a self-storage facility with someone else's personal watercraft near the Central Point border.

Shortly before 5 p.m. Friday, a pair of Bombardier Sea-Doo watercraft were stolen from a mini-storage facility in the 800 block of East Vilas Road, according to a Medford police social media post Friday night. Police shared a photo snapped by a witness which shows the two watercraft being pulled by a dark blue 1998-2003 model Dodge Durango SUV. The witness told police that the SUV left the self-storage facility westbound on Vilas Road.

The witness saw a "skinny" woman wearing a hoodie enter the SUV's front passenger seat. The two "Jet Ski" style watercraft are white in color, and one of the watercraft has bright yellow accents. The stolen white trailer used to carry the watercraft had an Arizona license plate.

Anyone with information is asked to call Medford’s non-emergency dispatch line at 541-770-4783 and reference Case No. 19-24601.
