Felony arrests

Theft — David Michael Demello, 27, no known address. Eagle Point police and Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Demello Tuesday on a felony charge of first-degree theft, a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft, and on warrants for violating his probation on previous charges of second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, and possessing heroin and a Schedule III controlled substance. He was held in the Jackson County Jail.

Vehicle Theft — Benjamin Franklin Siemens, 44, of the 600 block of North Grape Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Siemens Tuesday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was held in jail Tuesday.

Drugs — Jordan Christopher Jones, 23, of the 4900 block of Dark Hollow Road, Medford. Medford police and Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Jones Tuesday on felony charges of possessing heroin, fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence and first-degree criminal mischief, misdemeanor charges of interfering with police, second-degree theft and harasssment and for violating his parole on a prior first-degree burglary conviction. He was held in jail Tuesday.

Robbery — Cheyenne Eagle Cortez, 25, of the 800 block of Adams lane, Medford. On Tuesday, Cortez made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on felony charges of second-degree robbery and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and on a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree assault. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Vehicle Theft — Tiffani Morning Star Cortez, 24, of the 800 block of Adams Lane, Medford. On Tuesday, Cortez made her initial court appearance on felony charges of second-degree robbery and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Sonny Leigh Arterburn, 28, of Tucson, Arizona. On Tuesday, Arterburn made his initial court appearance on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants. She was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on her own recognizance.

Robbery — Ricardo McCants Jr., 28, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested McCants Tuesday on felony warrants charging him with one count of first-degree robbery and two counts of second-degree robbery. He was held in jail Tuesday.
