Talent man arrested on child pornography charges

A Talent man faces felony charges accusing him of duplicating at least four digital photographs of children being sexually abused.

Fabian Rigoberto Picazzo, 27, shortly before noon Wednesday by U.S. Marshals near the intersection of South Pacific Highway and South Stage Road in Medford on a Jackson County warrant charging him with downloading and distributing child pornography last fall, according to a release issued by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

According to an indictment filed by the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office in Jackson County Circuit Court, a Jackson County grand jury charged Picazzo last week on four felony counts of first-degree encouraging child sexual abuse alleging he “unlawfully and knowingly” duplicated child pornography images between Oct. 9 and Oct. 11.

Two of the four file names Picazzo allegedly duplicated use graphic terms to describe photos of prepubescent males being sexually abused, according to the indictment.

As of early Wednesday evening, Picazzo had not yet been booked in the Jackson County Jail, but the warrant for his arrest set Picazzo’s bail at $40,000.
