Felony arrests

Drugs — Kyle Wayne Crandell, 29, of the 1400 block of Flower Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Crandell Wednesday on a felony charge of possessing heroin and on a misdemeanor charge of third-degree theft. He was held in the Jackson County Jail Thursday on $10,000 bail.

Kidnapping — Daniel Wayne Davis, 36, of the 300 block of North Eighth Street, Central Point. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Davis Wednesday on felony charges of second-degree kidnapping, first-degree robbery, coercion and felon in possession of a firearm, and on misdemeanor charges of menacing and third-degree theft. He was held in jail Thursday on $500,000 bail.

Manslaughter — Regina Gwen Hayes, 43, of Salem. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Hayes Wednesday on felony charges of manslaughter and hit-and-run in a vehicle to an injured person and on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving. She was booked in the jail Wednesday and released Thursday after posting bail.

Drugs — Eric Osuna, 20, of Moreno Valley, California. Oregon State Police troopers arrested Osuna Wednesday on felony charges of delivering and possessing a Schedule II controlled substance. He was booked in the jail and released Wednesday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Adrian Perez, 20, of Moreno Valley, California. Oregon State Police troopers arrested Perez Wednesday on felony charges of delivering and possessing a Schedule II controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of unlawfully possessing a marijuana item.

Strangulation — Shannon Leigh Stewart, 47, of Norfolk, Virginia. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Stewart Wednesday on a felony charge of strangulation constituting domestic abuse. She was booked in the jail Wednesday and released Thursday after posting bail.

Identity Theft — David Louis Bertik, 43, of the 1500 block of Prune Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Bertik Thursday on felony charges of identity theft and first-degree forgery and on a misdemeanor charge of attempted first-degree theft. He was held in jail Thursday on $20,000 bail.

Criminal Mischief — Skiler Brys Lewis, 27, of the 1400 block of Thomas Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Lewis Thursday on a felony charge of first-degree criminal mischief and first-degree burglary, misdemeanor charges of strangulation constituting domestic abuse, harassment, second-degree theft and violating a no-contact order, and for violating his parole on a prior first-degree burglary conviction. He was held in jail Thursday without bail.
