Felony arrests

Vehicle Theft — Christopher Kwon Ivey, 34, no known address. Medford police arrested Ivey Friday on felony charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and attempting to elude police in a vehicle, and misdemeanor charges of third-degree theft and violating a no-contact order. He was booked in the Jackson County Jail Friday and released Saturday on his own recognizance.

Assault — Wendy Carolina Aldana, 36, of the 3000 block of Cummings Lane, Medford. Medford police arrested Aldana Saturday on a felony charge of fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence witnessed by a minor, and on a misdemeanor charge of harassment. She was booked in the jail and released Saturday on her own recognizance.

Coercion — Michael Anthony Black, 31, of the 1100 block of Pinecroft Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Black Saturday on a felony charge of coercion, and misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence, menacing and harassment. He was booked in the jail Saturday and released Sunday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Paul Carey Hartzell, 47, of the 900 block of Pendleton Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Hartzell Saturday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine and on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving. He was booked in the jail Saturday and released Sunday on his own recognizance.

Assault — George Daniel Stevens, 62, of the 200 block of North Ivy Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Stevens Saturday on a felony charge of fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence and on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous charge of fourth-degree assault. He was booked in the jail and released Saturday on his own recognizance.

Vehicle Theft — Casey James Wilson, 25, of the 100 block of Fourth Street, Talent. Medford police arrested Wilson Saturday on felony charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possessing a stolen vehicle. He was booked in the jail and released Saturday on his own recognizance.

Identity Theft — David Louis Bertik, 43, of the 1500 block of Prune Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Bertik Sunday on felony charges of identity theft, first-degree forgery and possessing methamphetamine. He was booked in the jail Sunday and released as of Tuesday.

Drugs — Kevin Lloyd Matthiesen, 40, of the 200 block of Cedar Street, Rogue River. Medford police arrested Matthiesen Sunday on a felony charge of possessing heroin, a misdemeanor charge of possessing methamphetamine and on a detainer for violating his parole on a prior heroin possession conviction. He was booked in the jail Sunday and released as of Tuesday.

Drugs — Christopher Lonnie Carroll, 33, of the 200 block of South Pacific Highway, Talent. Medford police arrested Carroll Monday on a felony charge of delivering and possessing heroin and possessing methamphetamine, a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft and for violating his probation on a prior felon in possession of a restricted weapon conviction. He was held in jail Tuesday on $105,000 bail.

Robbery — Zachary Alexander Ray Hubbard, 28, no known address. Medford police arrested Hubbard Monday on a felony warrant charging him with third-degree robbery, misdemeanor warrants charging him with unlawfully possessing a concealed weapon, possessing a Schedule IV controlled substance, second-degree trespassing and second-degree disorderly conduct and third-degree theft. He was held in jail Tuesday on $27,500 bail.

Vehicle Theft — Aaron Jovan Criss, 38, of the 900 block of Maple Court, Medford. Medford police arrested Criss Tuesday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and misdemeanor charges of driving while suspended or revoked and second-degree criminal mischief. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.

Vehicle Theft — Kara June Duran, 36, of the 600 block of Pine Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Duran Tuesday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She was held in jail Tuesday on $7,500 bail.

Weapons — Antoneo Jesus Hernandez, 28, of the 1100 block of South Dakota Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Hernandez Tuesday on a felony charge of felon in possession of a firearm, a misdemeanor warrant charging him with violating a restraining order and on warrants for violating his probation on prior strangulation and coercion convictions. He booked in the jail Tuesday.

Forgery — Sean Kristopher Moody, 31, of the 1300 block of Thomas Road, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies and Phoenix police arrested Moody Tuesday on felony charges of first-degree forgery, first-degree possessing a forged instrument, driving while suspended or revoked and attempting to elude police in a vehicle, misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous charge of driving while suspended or revoked. He was held in jail Tuesday on $40,000 bail.

Assault — Joshua Daniel Rollason, 35, of the 1700 block of Stewart Avenue, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Rollason Tuesday on a felony warrants charging him with fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence of a pregnant victim and coercion, misdemeanor warrants for violating a no-contact order and failing to appear in court on previous charges of strangulation constituting domestic violence and driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was held in jail Tuesday on $62,500 bail.

Vehicle Theft — Darion Jeffrey Ward, 55, of the 1200 block of Shafer Lane, Medford. Medford police arrested Ward Tuesday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving while suspended or revoked and on a misdemeanor charge of hit-and-run property damage. He was held in jail Tuesday on $32,500 bail.

Elude — Leif Neal Whinery, 39, of Yreka, California. Medford police arrested Whinery Tuesday on a felony warrant charging him with attempting to elude police in a vehicle and misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and hit-and-run property damage. He was booked in the jail and released Tuesday on his own recognizance.
