Local report

A Talent man died following a Friday crash on South Pacific Highway.

Robert Mcintosh, 77, of Talent, is believed to have suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel of his Chevrolet pickup early Friday afternoon when he crashed into a telephone pole near milepost 12 of Highway 99, according to an Oregon State Police release issued Saturday.

At about 12:45 p.m. Friday, while Mcintosh was driving, the truck left the roadway, collided with a parked vehicle and came to a stop in a residence front yard, according to police.

Mercy Flights paramedics rushed Mcintosh and his passenger, 77-year-old Marilyn Mcintosh, to a nearby hospital. Robert Mcintosh was later pronounced deceased at the hospital, and Marilyn Mcintosh was treated for injuries.
