White City man charged with dealing meth, heroin

A White City man faces felony drug charges after police allegedly found 3 pounds of meth in a briefcase inside his car Sept. 29.

Cornelio Reyes Jr., 26, was being held Wednesday in the Jackson County Jail on more than $1 million bail following a search last fall in which narcotics officers with the Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement task force say they seized 3 pounds of meth.

MADGE detectives say they found the drugs after searching Reyes’ parked vehicle in the 800 block of Medford Center, according to documents filed by MADGE in Jackson County Circuit Court.

Inside the vehicle, detectives also found more than $9,000 in cash. Reyes also had a loaded handgun and 89 grams of black tar heroin, according to police.

MADGE arrested Reyes Tuesday afternoon on warrants charging him with manufacturing, delivering and possessing methamphetamine and manufacturing, delivering and possessing heroin.

Reyes was slated to make his initial court appearance on the charges Wednesday afternoon, records show.
