Drugs — Donald Ray Smith Jr., 40, no known address. Central Point police arrested Smith Friday on felony charges of possessing heroin and methamphetamine, a misdemeanor charge of interfering with a police officer and for violating his parole on a prior unlawful marijuana delivery conviction. He was held in the Jackson County Jail Saturday without bail.
Strangulation — Dereck William Cohen, 39, of the 11400 block of Blackwell Road, Central Point. Medford police arrested Cohen Saturday on a felony charge of strangulation constituting domestic violence and a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree assault. He was held in jail Saturday on $15,000 bail.
Burglary — Gabriel Francis Escobar, 37, no known address. Medford police arrested Escobar Saturday on felony charges of second-degree burglary and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and on a misdemeanor contempt of court charge for violating a restraining order. He was held in jail Saturday on $20,000 bail.
Drugs — Justin Allen Fisher, 33, of the 300 block of Sutter Avenue, Medford. Central Point police arrested Fisher Saturday on felony charges of possessing methamphetamine and heroin and attempting to elude police in a vehicle, and on two misdemeanor contempt of court charges for violating a no-contact order. He was held in jail Saturday on $42,500 bail.
Drugs — Shauna Jo Langford, 32, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Langford Saturday on a felony warrant charging her with possessing heroin. She was booked in the jail and released Saturday because of overcrowding.
Drugs — Bryan Samuel Shephard, 32, of the 6900 block of Pinehurst Street, Central Point. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Shephard Saturday on a felon warrant charging him with possessing methamphetamine and misdemeanor warrants charging him with driving while suspended or revoked and failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing meth and fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence. He was held in jail Saturday on $27,500 bail.
