Eagle Point woman dead in Clackamas County crash
An Eagle Point woman has died following a crash near the Clackamas County town of Mulino.
At about 8:15 a.m. Saturday, Elina Inget, 66, of Eagle Point, lost control of her Toyota Tacoma pickup on Highway 213 and collided with a Freightliner box truck headed in the opposite direction near the South Union Hall Road intersection, according to a release issued by Oregon State Police.
Police believe icy road conditions contributed to the crash.
The driver of the Freightliner truck, 33-year-old Colby Ransier of Silverton, was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries. Inglet was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash closed southbound Highway 213 for approximately four hours while Oregon State Police investigated the crash, according to police. Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, the Molalla Fire Department and Oregon Department of Transportation crews assisted in the crash response.
