Felony arrests

Vehicle Theft — Timothy James Sheeler, 39, no known address. Talent police arrested Sheeler Thursday on additional felony charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possessing a stolen vehicle. Medford police originally arrested Sheeler Monday on warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle, interfering with a police, strangulation, fourth-degree assault and for violating his parole on a prior first-degree burglary conviction. He was held in the Jackson County Jail Friday without bail.

Vehicle Theft — Tyler Benjamin Vega, 28, of the 500 block of Monroe Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Vega Thursday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was booked in the jail Thursday and released Friday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Kenneth Justin Brown, 32, no known address. Medford police arrested Brown Friday on a felony charge of possessing methamphetamine, misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and second-degree trespassing and on warrants for violating his probation on prior meth possession convictions. He was held in jail Friday on $30,000 bail.

Drugs — Jordan Mathew Ray, 23, of the 2200 block of Table Rock Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Ray Friday on felony charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing heroin, delivering an possessing methamphetamine and on a sanction for violating his parole on a prior fourth-degree assault conviction. He was booked in the jail Friday.

Assault — Paul Lino Sotelo, 37, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Sotelo Friday on felony charges of second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon and on a misdemeanor charge of menacing constituting domestic violence. He was held in jail Friday on $112,500 bail.

Theft — Jesse George Taylor, 37, of the 5500 block of Rogue River Highway, Gold Hill. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Taylor Friday on felony charges of first-degree theft, possessing methamphetamine and possessing heroin, a felony warrant charging him with a separate count of possessing heroin and a misdemeanor warrant charging him with unlawfully possessing a marijuana item. He was held in jail Friday on $35,000 bail.

Theft — Jeffrey Robert Weinberg, 35, of the 500 block of Keene Drive, Medford. Talent police arrested Weinberg Friday on a felony charge of first-degree theft and on a misdemeanor charge of unlawfully entering a motor vehicle. He was held in jail Friday on $12,500 bail.
