Felony arrests

Assault — Alexander Vidal Aguirre, 22, of the 200 block of King Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Aguirre Friday on felony charges of fourth-degree assault and strangulation, and misdemeanor charges of harassment and contempt of court for violating a no-contact order and violating a restraining order. He was booked in the Jackson County Jail Friday and released Saturday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Michael Lee Confer, 30, no known address. Medford police arrested Confer Friday on felony charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing methamphetamine, and on three misdemeanor counts of felon in possession of a restricted weapon. He was booked in the jail Friday and released Saturday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Gabriel Francis Escobar, 38, no known address. Medford police arrested Escobar Friday on felony charges of possessing heroin and possessing methamphetamine, and on a warrant for violating his parole on a prior first-degree theft conviction. He was held in jail Saturday without bail.

Sex Offender — Brett Daniel Nichols, 59, no known address. Medford police arrested Nichols Friday on a felony charge of failing to report as a sex offender, a misdemeanor warrant charging him with a separate count of failing to report as a sex offender and for failing to appear in court on previous charges of failing to report as a sex offender, third-degree sexual abuse, third-degree criminal mischief and harassment. He was booked in the jail Friday and released Saturday on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Jordan Mathew Ray, 23, of the 2200 block of Table Rock Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Ray Friday on felony charges of manufacturing, delivering and possessing heroin, and delivering and possessing methamphetamine, and for violating his parole on a prior fourth-degree assault conviction. He was held in jail Saturday without bail.
