Grants Pass police search for robber

The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety is searching for a man who stole money from a person in an Umpqua Bank parking lot Tuesday morning, according to a news release.

Police received a report of a robbery at 9:01 a.m. Tuesday, at 117 NE “F” St. The suspect, described as a white man, pushed the victim and grabbed money the victim had been holding. No one was injured, and no weapons were shown.

Police searched the area but could not locate the robber, though a bank camera captured a blurry image of the suspect.

Anyone with information about the robbery was asked to call Officer Kasen Perkins at 541-450-6260. Do not approach the suspect if you see him, police requested.
