Felony arrests

Witness Tampering — Nelson Cody Ray Martinez, 25, of the 1200 block of Murray Road, Medford. On Friday, Martinez made an appearance on new felony charges of tampering with a witness and identity theft. Medford police originally arrested Martinez Dec. 28 on a felony charge of strangulation constituting domestic violence and a misdemeanor charge of fourth-degree assault and on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous charge of possessing methamphetamine. The Jackson County District Attorney’s Office later charged Martinez in December with six additional felony counts of first-degree possessing a forged instrument. He was held in the Jackson Count Jail Friday on $158,000 bail.

Burglary — Dakota Riley Parke, 25, of the 400 block of Stevens Road, Eagle Point. Medford police arrested Parke Friday on a felony charge of first-degree burglary, a misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft and on misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of attempting to assault a police officer, resisting arrest and unlawfully possessing methamphetamine. He was held in jail Friday on $75,000 bail.
