Forestry crews will conduct a controlled burn in the Eastview Trail area near Four Corners at 9 a.m. Friday, according to a news release.

There won't be any trail or road closures, but the Eastview Trail area will have a heavy smoke presence. Fire officials are asking people to avoid the area.

The burn, overseen by the Rogue River-Siskiyou Mountain Ranger District, is one of many intended to reduce wildfire risk in the Ashland Watershed.
