Sexual Abuse — Jerry Lamar Boyd, of the 1000 block of Spring Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Boyd Tuesday on felony charges of first-degree sexual abuse and first-degree unlawful sexual penetration. He was held in the Jackson County Jail Wednesday on $1 million bail.
Attempted Murder — Jake Cody Compton, 30, of the 2100 block of Taylor Road, Central Point. Medford police arrested Compton Tuesday on felony charges of attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault. He was held in the Jackson County Jail Wednesday on $2 million bail.
Assault — Candice Cathrynn Govenor, 34, of Phoenix. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Govenor Tuesday on felony warrants charging her with felony counts of second-degree assault, fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence and first-degree burglary, and on misdemeanor charges of interfering with someone making a police report and second-degree criminal mischief. She was booked in the jail Tuesday and released Wednesday on her own recognizance.
Drugs — Desiree Lynn Morris, 19, of the 500 block of Village Drive, Central Point. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Morris Wednesday on felony charges of delivering heroin and delivering methamphetamine, and misdemeanor charges of unlawfully possessing meth and unlawfully carrying or concealing a firearm. She was held in jail Wednesday on $100,000 bail.
