Police investigate downtown Medford stabbing

Detectives are asking for clues after an apparent Thursday afternoon stabbing in downtown Medford that sent one person to the hospital.
The attack was first reported at 3:08 p.m. near the area of South Bartlett and East Main streets, according to Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon records and a Medford police release.
Medford officers found a person with “apparent stab wounds” at the scene, and Mercy Flights paramedics rushed the person to a nearby hospital.
The release provides no details about a possible suspect.
As of Thursday evening, Medford police detectives had taken on the investigation into the attack, and police ask anyone with information about the case to call Medford police’s Criminal Division at 541-774-2244.
