Medford stabbing victim in critical condition

A 37-year-old man is in critical condition after being stabbed Thursday afternoon in downtown Medford, according to a Medford police news release.

The victim, who police have not identified, is in a hospital intensive care unit. Police had no suspects in the case.

Medford police responded at 3:08 p.m. Thursday to the corner of South Bartlett and East Main streets for a reported stabbing. Officers located the victim, who had received multiple “apparent” stab wounds, the release said. Mercy Flights transported the man to a local hospital for treatment.

Police are still gathering information on a suspect description and are looking for possible witnesses and surveillance video in the area.
