Medford man killed in head-on crash
A 31-year-old Medford man was killed Monday in a head-on crash that police say involved alcohol and excessive speed.
Wyatt McCree was killed in the crash on Bullock Road just south of the Terminal Spur Road intersection, according to a news release issued Tuesday by Medford police.
At 6:08 p.m. Monday, McCree was making a right turn in a 2018 Honda Civic when he crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV.
A 46-year-old California woman — the sole occupant of the Jeep— sustained minor injuries in the crash. Medford police have not released her name.
Alcohol use and excessive speed were listed as possible “contributing factors” in the fatal crash, police said in the release.
Oregon court records show that McCree had no prior driving citations or criminal history.
