Vehicle Theft — James Raymond Sanders Jr., 36, of Portland. Medford police arrested Sanders Tuesday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and on a Colorado felony fugitive warrant. He was held in the Jackson County Jail Wednesday without bail.
Burglary — Stuart Asher Hamilton, 32, no known address. Medford police arrested Hamilton Wednesday on new felony charges of second-degree burglary and first-degree criminal mischief and a new misdemeanor charge of second-degree theft. Medford police originally arrested Hamilton June 28 on a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous charge of felon in possession of a restricted weapon. He was held in the Jackson County Jail Wednesday on $45,000 bail.
Burglary — Alex Roy Martinez, 47, no known address. Medford police arrested Martinez Wednesday on a felony warrant charging him with second-degree burglary, misdemeanor warrants charging him with second-degree criminal mischief, second-degree theft and failing to appear in court on a previous charge of second-degree theft. He was held in jail Wednesday on $10,500 bail.
Aggravated Identity Theft — Jordan Mathew Ray, 24, of the 200 block of Alta Lane, Central Point. On Wednesday, Ray made his initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on three new felony charges of aggravated identity theft and six new felony counts of tampering with a witness. Medford police originally arrested Ray June 1 on felony charges of first-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse, coercion, strangulation constituting domestic violence, misdemeanor counts of second-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree assault and for violating his parole on a prior first-degree burglary conviction. He was held in jail Wednesday without bail.
Drugs — Ariela Maricela Rivas, 25, of the 200 block of North Central Avenue, Medford. Medford police arrested Rivas Wednesday on felony charges of delivering and possessing methamphetamine and delivering and possessing heroin. She was held in jail Wednesday on $537,500 bail.
Drugs — Blake Kenneth Steger, 31, of the 2200 block of Ruhl Way, Medford. Ashland police arrested Steger Wednesday on a felony warrant charging him with possessing heroin and misdemeanor warrants charging him with unlawfully possessing a Schedule I controlled substance and unlawfully possessing cocaine. He was booked in the jail and released Wednesday on his own recognizance.
