Vehicle Theft — Randi Lynn Barnum, 54, of the 700 block of Spring Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Barnum Friday on a felony charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She was booked in the Jackson County Jail and released Friday on her own recognizance.
Assault — Andrew Joseph Krug, 35, of the 1000 block of Washburn Lane, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Krug Friday on felony charges of second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon, and on misdemeanor counts of strangulation constituting domestic violence and harassment. He was booked in the jail Friday and no longer an inmate as of Saturday.
Attempted Assault — Joshua Lee Sandusky, 43, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Sandusky Friday on felony charges of attempted second-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, misdemeanor charges of menacing, felon in possession of a restricted weapon and unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon and for violating his probation on a prior methamphetamine possession conviction. He was held in jail Saturday without bail.
Drugs — James Michael Cody Whelchel, 39, of Carson, California. Medford police arrested Whelchel on felony charges of delivering methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin, felony warrants charging Whelchel of possessing Schedule I and Schedule II controlled substances and on misdemeanor charges of unlawfully possessing meth, cocaine and heroin. He was held in jail Saturday on $550,000 bail.
