Strangulation — Derrick Allen Traister, 36, of the 2300 block of East Barnett Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Traister Tuesday on a felony charge of strangulation constituting domestic violence. He was booked in the Jackson County Jail Tuesday and released Wednesday on his own recognizance.
Identity Theft — Richard L. Buelna, 28, of the 1600 block of Lillian Street, Medford. On Wednesday, Buelna made an appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court on new felony charges of identity theft and first-degree theft, and a new misdemeanor charge of negotiating a bad check. Medford police originally arrested Buelna Tuesday on a misdemeanor charge of third-degree theft and warrants for failing to appear in court on previous misdemeanor charges of unlawfully possessing methamphetamine and third-degree theft. He was held in jail Wednesday on $22,000 bail.
Attempted Murder — Kristopher Wayne Clay, 24, of the 700 block of West McAndrews Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Clay Tuesday on felony charges of attempted first-degree murder, attempted first-degree assault, first-degree disorderly conduct, and misdemeanor charges attempted first-degree disorderly conduct and tampering with evidence. He was held in jail Wednesday on $127,500 bail.
Marijuana Crime — Juan Carlos Farias-Sanchez, 44, of Monroe, Washington. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Farias-Sanchez Wednesday on felony charges of prohibited import or export of a marijuana item and unlawfully manufacturing, delivering and possessing a marijuana item. He was held in jail Wednesday on $30,000 bail.
