Sodomy ― James Orion Dutton, 22, of the 300 block of Taylor Street, Ashland. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Dutton Tuesday on a felony warrant charging him with first-degree sodomy, on misdemeanor warrants for failing to appear in court on previous charges of possessing MDMA and third-degree theft, and for violating his probation on prior convictions for possessing a Schedule II controlled substance, possessing oxycodone, second-degree burglary and first-degree burglary. He was held in the Jackson County Jail Wednesday on $312,500 bail.
Sexual Abuse ― Christopher Edward Johnston, 35, of the 100 block of Sawyer Road, Shady Cove. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Johnston Tuesday on a warrant charging him with three felony counts of first-degree sexual abuse and misdemeanor warrants charging him with failing to appear in court on previous charges of unlawfully possessing methamphetamine and felon in possession of a restricted weapon. He was held in jail Wednesday on $300,000 bail.
Assault ― Curtis Lorne Whittington, 55, of the 6300 block of Honey Tree Lane, Central Point. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Whittington Tuesdayo n a felony charge of fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence and on misdemeanor charges of harassment and menacing. He was booked in the jail Tuesday and released Wednesday on his own recognizance.
Criminal Mischief ― Aurie Mereno, 39, no known address. Medford police arrested Mereno Wednesday on felony charges of first-degree criminal mischief and delivering heroin, misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest, second-degree trespassing and interfering with police, and on misdemeanor warrants charging him with second-degree theft and failing to appear in court on previous charges of delivering methamphetamine, second-degree criminal mischief, second-degree theft and second-degree trespassing. He was booked in the jail and released Wednesday on his own recognizance.
