Felony arrests

Stolen vehicle — Tiffany Lee Butchino, 31, of New York. Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Butchino Sunday on one charge of possessing a stolen vehicle. She was booked into jail and held on $7,500 bail.

Assault — Kayla Lee Ellis, 31, of the 4700 block of Horned Lark Drive, Klamath Falls. Medford police arrested Ellis Sunday on charges of assaulting an officer and criminal trespass. She was booked into jail and held on $10,000 bail.

Weapon — Jacob Steven Emerson, 39, no address reported. Talent police arrested Emerson Sunday for allegedly possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, and on warrant for failing to appear in court regarding other charges. He was booked into jail and held on $12,500 bail.

Eluding — Joan Lorraine Ferguson, 29, of the 700 block of Nita Lynne Way, Medford. Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ferguson Sunday on charges of reckless driving, reckless endangering and attempting to elude police by vehicle. She was booked into jail and released on her own recognizance Sunday.

Assault — Jose Guadalupe Saldana-Mendiola, 27, of the 1500 block of Kings Highway, Medford. Medford police arrested Saldana-Mendiola Sunday on charges of reckless driving, assault in the second degree, reckless endangering and driving under the influence of alcohol. He was booked into jail and held on $115,000 bail.

Weapon — Carlos Lanier Sanders, 60, of the 3100 block of Juniper Ridge Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Sanders Sunday on charges of disorderly conduct, interfering with an officer, unlawful use of a weapon, reckless endangering and five counts of menacing. He was booked into jail and held on $45,000 bail.

DUI — Aaron Joseph Schmoke, 32, of Nevada. Ashland police arrested Schmoke Saturday on charges of criminal mischief, driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, hit and run on a vehicle with property damage and criminal trespass. He was booked into jail Saturday and released on his own recognizance Sunday.

Assault — Nicholas Jermain Washington, 39, no address reported. Central Point police arrested Washington Sunday on charges of assaulting an officer, interfering with an officer, resisting arrest and theft in the first degree, and on warrant for failing to appear in court regarding another charge. He was booked into jail and held on $35,000 bail.
