Vehicle found near GP with 2 guns, $760,000 in marijuana inside

Within the wreckage of what was reported as a vehicle crash outside Grants Pass city limits, the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday found $760,000 worth of marijuana, but no suspects.

At 4:09 a.m. Sunday, sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Camp Joy Road and Saratoga Way for what was reported as a single-vehicle crash.

The vehicle was unoccupied, according to a release from the sheriff’s office, but had “several bullet holes” that went through the passenger compartment, according to a release from the sheriff’s office. Large amounts of marijuana and two guns were in plain sight.

Deputies found two firearms and 380 pounds of processed packaged marijuana with an estimated street value of approximately $760,000.
