Felony arrests

Assault on a police officer — Jarryd Janine Boynton, 27, no reported address. She was arrested by Medford Police Tuesday for assault on a peace or public safety officer. Misdemeanors charges include fourth degree assault pertaining to domestic abuse, attempted assault on a peace or public safety officer, and two counts of harassment. On Wednesday two contempt of court charges were added by the Jackson County Circuit Court. Boynton is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $25,000 bail.

Theft — Dustin Charles Brock, 34, of the 200 block of Pine Street, Medford. He was arrested Wednesday for first degree theft, being a felon in possession of a firearm, a failure to appear warrant for unlawful possession of methamphetamine -- less than one ounce and a warrant issued by Douglas County. There was a misdemeanor charge of attempting to elude police by vehicle. Brock is being held in the Jackson County Jail without bail.

Warrant — Kathryn Beth Dunay, 33, of the 3600 block of Crest Street, Klamath Falls. She was arrested by Rogue River Police Wednesday for a failure to appear warrant, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Dunay is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $7,500 bail.

Strangulation — Juan Alberto Rios, 34, of the 2900 block of Clearview Avenue, Medford. He was arrested by Medford Police Tuesday for strangulation pertaining to domestic abuse and fourth degree assault pertaining to domestic abuse as well as two misdemeanor charges of harassment and fourth degree assault. Rios is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $27,500 bail.

Parole violation — Wendy Lee Rose, 32, of Redding, California. She was arrested by Oregon State Police Tuesday for parole violation, identity theft, a probation violation, unlawful possession of heroin, and a warrant issued by Josephine County. Rose is being held in the Jackson County Jail without bail.

Assault — Shaunty Merisah Weinhold, 30, of the 800 block of Old Pacific Highway, Myrtle Creek. She was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday for second degree assault and third degree assault. Weinhold is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $250,000 bail.

Fugitive warrant — Frederick Charles West, 44, of the 400 block of Charlotte Ann Road, Medford. He was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Wednesday on a fugitive warrant issued by California. Medford Police earlier arrested him for a misdemeanor probation violation of unlawful possession of methamphetamine. West is being held in the Jackson County Jail without bail.
