Felony arrests

Rape-sexual abuse — Donavon McMillan Barnes, 18, of the 300 block of Lewis Creek Road, Trail. He was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Thursday for first-degree rape, four counts of first-degree sodomy, 10 counts of first degree sexual abuse and two attempts of first-degree sexual penetration. Barnes’ posted bail of $250,000 set in Jackson County Circuit Court Friday.

Strangulation —Trent Leo Walkup, 33, of the 700 block of Kenyon Street, Medford. He was arrested by Medford Police Thursday for second-degree kidnapping, seven counts of strangulation pertaining to domestic abuse and second degree assault as well as misdemeanor charges for menacing, harassment, criminal mischief, reckless driving, driving with a suspended or revoked license and two counts of misdemeanor assault pertaining to domestic abuse. Walkup is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $280,000 bail.

Theft — Michael Earl Burson Jr., 21, of the 100 block of Leeroy Circle, Medford. He was arrested by Medford Police Wednesday for first-degree theft, felony possession of a firearm, a probation violation for failing to appear, second-degree assault, and a failing to appear for unlawful possession of methamphetamine as well as a misdemeanor failing to appear charge for interfering with a peace, parole or probation officer. Burson is being held in the Jackson County Jail without bail.

Marijuana — Logan Zachary Carr, 41, of the 9500 block of Sterling Creek Road, Jacksonville. He was arrested by Medford Police Thursday for unlawful manufacture of a marijuana item, unlawful delivery of a marijuana item and unlawful possession of a marijuana item by a person older than 21. Carr is being held in the Jackson County Jail on $22,500 bail.

Parole violation — Jose Manuel Macias, 31, of no reported address, Portland. He was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies for a parole violation, first-degree assault. Macias is being held in the Jackson County Jail without bail.

Probation violation — Joshua Scott McFadden, 35, of the 700 block of Broadway Street, Rogue River. He was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies for probation violation, first-degree burglary. McFadden is being held in the Jackson County Jail without bail.

Probation violations — Tanner Charles McNew, 29, of the 100 block of Perrydale Avenue, Medford. He was arrested by Central Point Police Wednesday for a probation violation and failure to appear for unlawful delivery of a Schedule III controlled substance. On Thursday, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office added failures to appear for driving while his license was revoked or suspended, attempting to elude police by vehicle and a probation violation of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. There are also two misdemeanor failures to appear charges: a probation violation of driving under the influence of intoxicants and driving under the influence of intoxicants. McNew is being held in the Jackson County Jail without bail.

Probation violation — Jordan Douglas Ryan, 27, of the 9500 block of Old Stage Road, Central Point. He was arrested Thursday for a probation violation, second-degree criminal trespassing. Ryan is being held in the Jackson County Jail without bail.

Probation violation — Johnathon Cayetano Zavala, 33, of no reported address, Medford. He was arrested by Medford Police Thursday for a probation violation, failing to appear for first-degree burglary. On Friday, charges were added: failure to appear for first-degree burglary as well as misdemeanor charges for failures to appear for reckless burning, reckless endangering, first-degree criminal trespass and interfering with a peace, [parole or probation officer. Zavala is being held in the Jackson County Jail without bail.

Criminal mistreatment —Jessica Briana Martin, 33, of the 2100 block of Biddle Road, Medford. She was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Thursday for first-degree criminal mistreatment and two misdemeanor charges for reckless endangering and second-degree child neglect. Martin is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $10,000 bail.

Parole violation -- Angelena Elizabeth Waldenmaier, 27, of the 1100 block of Knutson Avenue, Medford. She was arrested Friday for a parole violation, unlawful use of a weapon. Waldenmaier is being held in the Jackson County Jail without bail.
