Fatal accident in Josephine County described as ‘violent high-speed rollover’
A driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Josephine County Thursday evening, according to the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office.
Rural Metro Fire — Josephine County described the scene as “a violent high-speed rollover.”
Emergency responders arrived at 9:10 p.m. Thursday to the accident location in the 400 block of Lloyd Drive, which is in the Colonial Valley area of Josephine County.
There they found the man who had been driving the vehicle pinned underneath it.
Personnel from the sheriff’s office and Rural Metro Fire removed the driver and began treating him.
The man was driven by ambulance to Rogue Regional Medical Center and was said to have been in critical condition. He died soon after arriving at the hospital, the sheriff’s office also reported.
His identity is being withheld until kin is notified.
