Josephine County woman arrested in shooting

Police arrested a 32-year-old woman after a gunshot victim arrived Monday at a Josephine County hospital.

Daisy May Greenlee was arrested Wednesday after an investigation, according to a release from the Josephine County Sheriff’s office.

Three Rivers Medical Center contacted Josephine County Sheriff’s Office at 2 p.m. Monday to report a gunshot victim had arrived without the knowledge of law enforcement and emergency responders.

The person was treated for a gunshot wound to the left shoulder, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies and detectives determined the shooting occurred inside a vehicle in the 5000 block of Westside Road in the Illinois Valley.

Police conducted surveillance of a property on Finch Road in Kerby, and arrested Greenlee for first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon and being a felon in possession of a weapon. Greenlee was held Wednesday in the Josephine County Jail without bail.
