Felony arrests

Drugs — Oscar Flores Jr, 22, of the 2200 block of Arlington Drive, Medford. He was arrested by Medford Police Thursday for one count each of unlawful possession, unlawful delivery and unlawful manufacture of a Schedule II controlled substance. Flores is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $27,500 bail.

Assaulting an officer — Christopher David Howerton, 26, of the 200 block of East Main Street, Medford. He was arrested by Ashland Police Thursday for assault on a peace or public safety officer as well as misdemeanors. Howerton was released on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Walter Damian Ochoa, 34, of the 7700 block of 24th Street, White City. He was charged by the Jackson County Circuit Court for unlawful delivery and unlawful possession of less than one ounce of methamphetamine as well as unlawful possession and unlawful delivery of heroin. Ochoa was first arrested in October and remains in the Jackson County Jail for a total of $520,000 bail.

Burglary — Athena Pearson, 25, no reported address. She was arrested by Medford Police Wednesday for first-degree burglary and subsequently charged by the Jackson County Circuit Court for two counts of first-degree criminal mischief, unauthorized use of a vehicle and fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer. She also faces misdemeanors. Pearson is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $100,000 bail.
