IMET seizes marijuana, firearms and cash Tuesday
The multi-agency Illegal Marijuana Enforcement Team seized 2,424 pounds of processed marijuana, $4,100 in cash and 20 firearms Tuesday at a cannabis processing and storage facility in the 3800 block of Dodge Road in White City, according to a press release issued Friday by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
The search was part of a month-long law enforcement investigation, police said.
A suspect in the investigation was on the property at the time of the raid, police said, but no information was provided about arrests.
The illegal Marijuana Enforcement Team, which focuses on the black-market marijuana trade in the Rogue Valley, is funded by the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission and includes personnel from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Medford Police Department and the District Attorney’s Office.
