Bank robbery reported in Central Point

Police provide surveillance photo of suspect and ask for help from public

The Central Point Police Department reported Tuesday evening that a man robbed the People’s Bank, at 1017 E. Pine St., Central Point, at approximately 3:47 p.m.

A man entered the bank, passed a note to a teller demanding money, then fled on foot after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash.

“No weapons were displayed during the incident,” according to the statement.

Central Point police posted a photograph on social media Wednesday afternoon of a suspect in the robbery and were asking for assistance from the public to identify him.
