Felony arrests

Assault — Cheyanne Summer Allen, 25, of the 1000 block of Beaumont Avenue, Kelso, Washington. She was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Saturday for fourth-degree assault pertaining to domestic abuse, aggravated harassment and misdemeanors. Allen was released on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Benjamin Eugene McFarland, 36, of the 4900 block of Butte Falls Highway, Eagle Point. He was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Friday for unlawful possession of a marijuana item and a misdemeanor. McFarland was released on his own recognizance.

Strangulation — Calub Jeffery Putney, 20, of the 1100 block of Coggins Street, Redding, California. He was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Saturday for strangulation pertaining to domestic abuse, second-degree assault and a misdemeanor. Putney is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $100,000 bail.

Drugs — Carlos Fernando Ramirez, 32, of the 1400 block of Woodstock Avenue, Medford. He was arrested by Medford Police Friday for one count each of unlawful delivery and manufacture of methamphetamine as well as failure to appear for two counts of unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Ramirez is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $60,000 bail.

Assault — Jill Marlene Spurgeon-Fanning, 63, of the 94700 block of Southbank Pistol River Road, Brookings. She was arrested by Oregon State Police Friday for third-degree assault and misdemeanors. Spurgeon-Fanning was released on her own recognizance.

Drugs — Shane Michael Stancliff, 33, of the 5200 block of East 7th Street, Rogue River. He was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Saturday for unlawful possession of heroin, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and a parole violation. Stancliff is being held in the Jackson County Jail without bail.

Drugs — Frederick Charles West, 44, of the 1400 block of Hill Court, Medford. He was arrested by Medford Police Saturday for one count each of unlawful possession, manufacture and delivery of a marijuana item as well as four counts of attempting to elude police by vehicle. West was released on his own recognizance.
