Child exploitation investigators conduct search, make arrest
Investigators with the Southern Oregon Child Exploitation Team, partnered with Eagle Point police, served a federal search warrant Wednesday at a residence on the 600 block of Teakwood Drive in Eagle Point, according to a press release.
Police said they seized digital devices that will be examined by High-Tech Crimes Task Force for evidence of child exploitation, according to the release.
Tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led to subpoenas, followed by the search at the residence.
In a separate action Tuesday, SOCET arrested Timothy Allen Beck, 25, of the 2300 block of Azalea Drive in Grants Pass, on five counts of second-degree encouraging child sexual abuse. Beck was being held in the Josephine County Jail on $100,000 bail.
Police said they had received information that child porn had been uploaded at several locations in Medford, and investigators visited those addresses Monday, the release said.
