Felony arrests

Sexual abuse — Celso Alberto Banda, 30, of the 2100 block of Taylor Road, Central Point. He was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Thursday for first-degree sexual abuse and second-degree sodomy. Banda is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $200,000 bail.

Theft — Richard L. Buelina, 29, of the 2300 block of Hale Way, White City. He was arrested by Medford Police Thursday for failing to appear on one count each of first-degree theft and identity theft as well as a misdemeanor and probation violation. Buelina is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $12.500 bail.

Felon with firearm — Luis F. Camacho Picazo, 24, of the 100 block of North Church, Phoenix. He was arrested by Medford Police Wednesday for being a felon in possession of a firearm, obliterating or changing the identification number on a firearm and misdemeanors. Camacho Picazo was released on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Cynthia Gale Cheek, 59, of the 1000 block of West 11th Street, Medford. She was arrested by Medford Police Thursday for two counts of unlawful possession and one count each of unlawful delivery and manufacture of a Schedule II controlled substance. Cheek is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $35,000 bail.

Sex offender failing to report — Zachery Michael Gallagher, 32, of the 1000 block of Spring Street, Medford. He was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Thursday for failing to report as a sex offender and probation violations. Gallagher is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $23,000 bail.

Assaulting an officer — Christopher David Howerton, 26, no reported address. He was arrested by Medford Police for failing to appear for assault on a peace or public safety officer and misdemeanors. Howerton is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $10,500 bail.

Eluding — Sean Kristopher Moody, 33, of the 700 block of King Street, Medford. He was arrested by Phoenix Police Thursday for attempting to elude police by vehicle and felony driving with a suspended or revoked license. Moody was released on his own recognizance.
