Thief runs out of Central Point market carrying the till

A man stole a cash register Thursday night from the Stop-N-Go market in Central Point.

According to police, a man walked into the market, at 6079 Table Rock Road, at 10:45 p.m., near closing time, and grabbed the cash register. An employee activated a panic alarm as the man ran out.

The suspect was described as an adult man, white, about 5-feet-8, wearing a hoodie and face mask.

The market owners were reported to be obtaining video in an effort to help identify the thief.

Anyone with information about the theft was asked to call the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 541-774-8333. Refer to case number 22-1722.
