Five people indicted for 2020 shooting-robbery
A Jackson County grand jury indicted five people this week on charges related to a shooting and robbery that occurred in the 900 block of Beale Lane in Central Point during November 2020.
Michael Anthony Padilla Jr., 34, of Medford, was arrested by Medford police Tuesday for second-degree attempted murder, one count each of first-degree and second-degree assault, one count each of second-degree and third-degree conspiracy to commit a felony, unlawful use of a weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Padilla pleaded not guilty Wednesday to all charges in Jackson County Circuit Court. He is being held in the Jackson County Jail on $750,000 bail.
The four other suspects listed in the indictment are each charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony: Christopher Brian Juarez, 35, of Medford; Alissa Noel McIntosh, 27, of Medford; Chelsie Lynn Perez, 34, of Central Point; and Juvenal Adan Vega, 36, of Medford.
Vega began serving a state prison sentence about a year ago for an unrelated case.
The other three suspects are scheduled to be in court May 5.
