Felony arrests

Drugs — Ian Brooks, 39, of the 2500 block of Ashwood Court, Medford. He was arrested by Medford police Saturday for two counts each of unlawful possession, manufacture and delivery of heroin; failure to appear for unlawful delivery and heroin and methamphetamine; and misdemeanors. Brooks was released on his own recognizance.

Eluding — Dennis Alan Knight, 28, of the 400 block of East 12th Street, Medford. He was arrested by Medford police Saturday for failing to appear for these charges:one count each of attempting to elude police by vehicle, assaulting a public safety officer, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and two counts of driving with a suspended or revoked license and misdemeanors. Knight is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $80,000 bail, some of which is from a separate arrest.

Burglary — Kyle Ray Bateson, 32, no reported address. He was arrested by Ashland police Monday for failing to appear for the charge of first-degree burglary and misdemeanors. Bateson is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $25,000 bail.

Encouraging child sex abuse – Kaleb Scott Hanson, 22, of the 500 block of Meadow Lane, Eagle Point. He was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Monday for two counts of first-degree encouraging child sexual abuse, two counts of second-degree encouraging child sexual abuse and six counts of encouraging sexual assault of an animal. Hanson is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $250,000 bail.

Encouraging child sex abuse — Nickolas Parnell, 32, of the 500 block of Briarwood Drive, Central Point. He was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Monday for 15 counts of first-degree encouraging child sexual abuse. Parnell is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $250,000 bail as well as an unspecified federal hold.

Theft — Rhys Mario Robert Sittingdown, 28, of the 100 block of Little Butte Drive, Eagle Point. He was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Sunday for two counts of first-degree theft, one count each of coercion and fourth-degree assault pertaining to domestic abuse, failure to appear for charges of coercion and unlawful use of a weapon and misdemeanors. He is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $100,000 bail.

Assault — Cipriana Nicole Valdez, 34, of the 600 block of West 4th Street, Medford. She was arrested by Medford police Sunday for fourth-degree felony assault pertaining to domestic abuse and misdemeanors. Valdez was released on her own recognizance.

Drugs – Dexter Dee Williams Jr., 45, no reported address. He was charged by the Jackson County Circuit Court for one count each of possession, manufacture and delivery of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor. Williams was released on his own recognizance.

Burglary — Kimberly Rose Hogan, 45, no reported address, Central Point. She was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday for failure to appear for two counts of second-degree burglary and misdemeanors. No bail information was available.

Drugs — Kevin Lloyd Matthiesen, 41, of the 1500 block of Bryant Street, Medford. He was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday for failing to appear for unlawful possession of heroin and misdemeanors. No bail information was available.

Burglary – Daryl Lee Melfi, 50, no reported address. He was arrested by Medford police Tuesday for first-degree burglary, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, failing to appear for two counts of unauthorized use of a stolen vehicle, one count of possession of a stolen vehicle, misdemeanors and out-of county warrants. Melfi is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $77,500 bail.

Drugs — Raymond James Morris, 35, of the 400 block of Oak Street, Medford. He was arrested by Medford police Monday for failing to appear for one count each of unlawful possession and delivery of heroin, a misdemeanor and probation violation. Morris was released on his own recognizance.

Assault on officer — Steven Allen Prince, 37, of the 700 block of North Ross Lane, Medford. He was arrested by Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies for assault on a peace or public safety officer and multiple misdemeanors. Prince is being held in the Jackson County Jail for $15,000 bail.

Fugitive — Antoine Deray Smith, 28, no reported address. She was arrested by Medford police for a fugitive warrant issued in Arkansas. Smith is being held without bail in the Jackson County Jail.

Drugs — Kimberly Danielle Teaters, 39, of the 1000 block of North Berley Way, Medford. She was arrested by Medford police Tuesday for failing to appear for two counts of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanors. Teaters was released on her own recognizance.
