Vacant house burns down, vegetation scorched in Medford fire
Cause is under investigation

A vacant house was destroyed by fire Wednesday afternoon in Medford near the intersection of Marsh lane and South Stage Road.
No one was injured.
The fire was reported at 4:20 p.m. as a vegetation fire in the 1900 block of Marsh Lane. It was determined on sight the blaze had fully engulfed the structure, according to the Medford Fire Department.
Three Medford fire engines were called to the location. Jackson County Fire District 5 provided mutual aid with water tenders.
The smoke was highly visible from South Stage Road and some other sections of the city’s southwest side during rush hour.
Cause of the blaze is under investigation.
