Two pharmacies were broken into early Friday — one in Gold Hill and the other in west Medford.

Medford officers responded at about 4:20 a.m., Friday to a burglary in progress at West Main Pharmacy, 2355 W. Main St. Video surveillance showed three suspects had forced entry through the front doors and stole approximately $30,000 in narcotics.

“They used trash cans and bags on site, which were recovered two hours later at Suncrest Road and West Valley View Road in Talent, minus the medication,” Medford police said.

Witnesses said the suspects drove east on West Main Street in what appeared to be either a silver Toyota Rav 4 or a 2019-2021 Kia Sportage.

About a half-hour earlier, at 3:58 a.m., the suspects committed a similar burglary at The Gold Hill Pharmacy, 808 Second Ave., Gold Hill, police said.

No other details about the Gold Hill burglary were provided.

“Other pharmacies need to take note and ensure their business is properly secured, as they are likely to strike again,” Medford police said.

Help from the public was being sought to determine what type and model of vehicle was driven by the suspects, as well as any other information that could aid police. Call 541-774-2230 and refer to case no. 22-7561.
